2025 Basketball Enhancements
Manual Play Result Entry: Do you like to
occasionally play basketball board games? Now you can play games
on your favorite board game and use the 2025 Basketball game to enter play results on the game screen. Action! PC Basketball
handles all the game timing and statistic tracking for you!
Legacy Mode: For the first time,
you can complete an Action! PC Basketball season and roll to the
next fictional season! Players age realistically each season
(with a bit of randomness), as some improve or get worse, and
others retire. Rolling to the next season will also create a new
class of rookies, with your choice of fictional or real rookies.
For example, complete the real 1978-79 season then roll to
1979-80 with fictional rookies, or real-life rookies (Magic,
Bird, Cartwright, etc.)! Or play the 2024-25 season and continue
into the future with fictional rookies for years to come. Fun
and easy to use new feature!
Coach & GM Dashboard: Use the new dashboard to
specify human or computer coaches and general managers for each
team, set max or active rosters, depth charts, game plans, and
much more. All in one convenient location!
Game Screen Updates: New game
screen hot keys offer even faster play calling simply by
pressing the enter key or space bar for many plays. Fonts,
displays, and colors have also been updated.
Playoff Module: Quick play an
entire series, round or bracket with one click!
League Rules: New league rules are available
for both maximum and active roster sizes. We’ve also added a new
rule to allow specific players to be marked exempt from
injuries. Coaches may also set a usage meter strength (80 is
default) to start resting individual players. Penalties apply
below 80 but coaches may choose to leave better players in the
game longer.
Computer Drafting: The computer GM has received
a major upgrade and is much improved at building competitive
rosters and valuing rookies and up and coming players.
Scheduler: A new tool is available to create a
schedule based on your existing schedule. The new schedule
maintains your league balance of divisional and conference
games.
Video Chalkboard: Player, shot,
and ball movements have all been upgraded.
Game Formula Updates: 2025 adjustments include
fastbreak frequency more closely tied to player ratings, playing
safe defensively yielding fewer personal fouls, stricter
penalties for playing out of position, improved assist and
rebound stats for high performing players, and more.
Defensive Player Reports: New
all-league defensive team and defensive player of the year
reports.

LEAGUE MANAGEMENT
A complete set of
general manager functions makes it easy to operate your league.
Create, modify, draft and trade players and teams. Design depth charts
and game rotations or make all lineup decisions during the game.
Create custom court graphics for any team. Specify your own rules for
fouls, game times, shot clocks, and more!
STATISTICS
Action! PC
Basketball is loaded with player, team and league statistical reports! Customize
database and leader reports using hundreds of available statistics. All of the
standard statistics such as scoring, rebounding, assists, etc. are at your
fingertips. You can view raw statistics or stats based on game averages, home or road
averages, high games and many more. Track shooting from different court positions!
Completed seasons can even be added to a detailed encyclopedia.
OFFENSE
Position your players, set your pace and call
your plays. Call for a play based on how "open" a player is, from zero to
three stars, or design your own play to beat the defense. The game monitors how
often players are open during a game or season so you can call plays as often as you like!
A complete coaching profile may be exported and emailed to opposing coaches.
DEFENSE
Customize your
defense any way you like. Individual coverages can be set for every play from any
position on the court. Set your defensive help to one of several settings to best
counter your opponent. You can also choose from a variety of traps and presses.
PLAY by PLAY
Extensive
and exciting play-by-play files with over 3000 lines of text that may be edited by the
